7 New Cancer Hospitals in the State

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Health Minister of Assam declared that the seven hospitals will be built in the first phase at a cost of 736 crore.

Seven new cancer hospitals will be come up in the state. The new hospitals are planned to be in Dibrugarh, Sonitpur, Lakhimpur, Barpeta, Jorhat and Darrang district.

These hospitals will be built by Larson and Toubro. The company was given the work order recently following the tender process as they emerged as the lowest bidders.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Health Minister of Assam declared that the seven hospitals will be built in the first phase at a cost of 736 crore.

The joint partnership between Assam cancer care foundation and tata trusts initiated the hospitals. The foundation of the first phase hospitals will be laid in August.
