Niranjan School celebrates Golden Jubilee

Dibrugarh, Aug 13:  Niranjan school celebrated the valedictory function of Golden Jubilee at District Library on 10th and 11th August,2019 in the presence of a host of Eminent Personalities, Past Pupils, Parents and Former Teachers. Chief Guest Ms. Kalpana Khound, Ex Principal of D.H.S.K. Commerce College   and Guest of Honour Dr. Narayan Upadhayaya, Senior Neurologist   started with lighting of the auspicious lamp followed by mesmerizing     events like-Jyoti Sangeet, Bharat Natyam, Mythological drama from The Ramayana, Recitation, Rhythmic Bunny dance performed by the students of Kinder Garden , Borgeet, Digital Display on the history of Niranjan School, Dandiya Raas, Garba and Fashion Show.

A drama paying tribute to Pulwama Brave Hearts performed by R.A Junior College was appreciated by all. Past Pupils had a “Walk of Pride” with teachers on the ramp. In the evening the school wore a festive look.All the Guest praised the school as “The Premiere Institute” of Dibrugarh.

On this special occasion, the Former teachers were felicitated for their contribution to the Institute. The 3rd edition of “The Missing Link” authored by renowned Tea Planter and Patriot Late. Prasanna Kumar Baruah was released by his grandson Mr. Ajoy Kr. Baruah, Chairman of Niranjan School.

Principal Mr. Umananda Saikia forwarded the welcome speech. Director Mrs. Jinty Agarwala Baruah extended her gratitude to all those who helped the school in this journey of 50 Glorious Years.

Other eminent guests present on the occasion were Dr. Sashi Kant Saikia, Principal DHSK College, Dr. Debapallav Rajkhowa, Director – DODL Dibrugarh University, Dr. Debajit Das, Retd. HOD – ENT, Assam Medical College, Mr. Vijay Jain, Proprietor – Makum Motors Tinsukia and many more.The function ended with vote of Thanks by Mrs. Nibedita Das.
