In a landmark judgmment, CJI Ranjan Gogoi-led SC bench has allotted the disputed site to Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas, while directing the government to allot an alternate 5 acre land to Sunni Waqf Board for a mosque within Ayodhya.

The disputed site in Ayodhya has been allotted to Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas by a five-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi.

 

In a landmark judgmment, CJI Ranjan Gogoi-led SC bench has allotted the disputed site to Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas, while directing the government to allot an alternate 5 acre land to Sunni Waqf Board for a mosque within Ayodhya.

As per the verdict, the Central government is to formulate a scheme under Ayodhya Act,1993 within 3 months and set up the Trust with a board of trustees.

Scheme to be framed by Center to make provisions for working of Trust including the construction of the temple and other matters, the court said in its judgment.
