CBSE Board Exam 2020 : 75% Attendance Compulsory to Appear for Board Exams

The Central Board of Secondary Education has stated that the students appearing for the class 10 and 12 board examinations in 2020 are required to have a minimum of 75 percent attendance as of January 1, 2020.
All the schools which are affiliated to the board will have to calculate the attendance until January 1, 2020, for the students who are appearing for the 2020 board examination. The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the class 10 and 12 board examinations from February 15, 2020, before which the cases of attendance shortage have to be submitted at the regional office. The cases of shortage of attendance have to be submitted by the schools by January 7, 2020.
The students will also have to apply along with the required documents such as medical certificates, in order to prove the reason for the absence. It must be noted that applications without the necessary attached documents will be rejected by the board.
In cases of prolonged diseases, apart from the request of the parents, a medical certificate from a government doctor along with all the medical reports and a recommendation from the school is required to be submitted by the students. In cases of shortage of attendance due to sports events, the sports certificate along with the request from the parents and the recommendation of the school is required to be submitted. In cases of loss of a parent a request from the other parent, along with the death certificate issued by the concerned authority and a recommendation from the school has to be submitted.
