GUWAHATI, 11th July, 2019:
Six new flyovers are planned to be constructed in the State. The construction will commence from October next.
Out of these six, three to be constructed in Guwahati. The three flyovers projected to be at Lokhra, Garchuk and Basistha Chariali area of the city. This was announced by Assam Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary recently.
Patowary informed that another three new flyovers are planned to be in Nagaon, Bongaigaon and Dibrugarh districts of Assam.
The transport minister also informed that the project of construction of the flyovers has been handed to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
He also mentioned that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is being carried out and is expected to be completed by September.
After the completion of DPR, the construction work Is expected to start from october.
