COMMERCE INTRODUCED AS ELECTIVE SUBJECT BY SEBA

Starting from next academic session, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) is set to intoduce Commerce as an elective subject for classes IX and X. The students of class IX will be able to take up the elective subject from 2020.

Starting from next academic session, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) is set to intoduce Commerce as an elective subject for classes IX and X.

The students of class IX will be able to take up the elective subject from 2020.

In a review meeting held in Guwahati Commerce College, State Educartion  Minister, Siddhartha Bhattacharjee launched a new programme ‘An Introduction to Commerce’ in class X and it will have a preparatory glimpse of Accountancy, Insurance and  Banking.

The education department will also provide 5 day training to teachers of government schools in the afore mentioned subject.

Commerce has been introduced as an elective subject to make a strong foundation for the students who want to pursue their higher studies in the commerce stream.
