3 NDFB (S) rebels nabbed in Tinsukia
Guwahati: Security forces nabbed three militants of the NDFB (Songbijit) faction from Jagun area in Tinsukia district during an operation on Thursday night.
According to information, all the three cadres belonged to the 42nd batch of the outfit and had undergone intense arms training at Myanmar.
According to army source, on friday a search operation was carried out in the area following a tip-off regarding movement of armed NDFB(S) cadres in the area.
The three cadres were identified as Ajay Narzary, Swmkwr Narzary and Jwngpru Brahma. All of them are residents of Kokrajhar district. An AK series assault rifle, two pistols and a huge amount of ammunition were recovered from them. They were handed over to the Jagun police station and were being interrogated by top Army and police officials.
